Tao Yin exercise harmonises energy, relaxes abdominal muscles and the diaphragm, improves health and structural alignment. Using the mind to stimulate the internal flow of qi within the body to strengthen the organs. The movements in Yao Yin exercises engenders harmony between body and mind. Some exercises act as a means of sedating, some as a stimulant and a tonic, whilst others help in the activation, harnessing and cultivation of internal Chi energy and life force. Tao Yin enhances the functioning of the autonomic nervous system, increase the mental capacity of the brain, give greater mind control, increase perception and intuition, and give tranquillity to the mind, which in turn confers inner harmony and peacefulness, enhancing development of a deeper consciousness and awareness.
Shibashi X contains within its Tai Chi movements, stretching skills of Shaolin martial art, and Qigong breathing techniques. They are especially beneficial for healing stiff joints, strengthening muscular weakness, and increasing stability to prevent falls.
